No prizes for guessing what I am talking about. If you thought I am poking fun at Infy, then you are wrong. For those of you who know me a little too well - “Yes, you have guessed it right; am again cribbing about the opposite gender”.

I also know that the above title is really caustic. But, given the circumstances that I have been through, I have no other way to put it. Their behavior is as weird as it can get – exemplifying 'inexplicability'. Let alone the existence of a theory that could explain their abrupt deviations in behavior, it is even hard to take a guess. The harder you stretch your grey cells, the more mysterious it gets!

Here are a couple of scenarios (from my previous job): A senior colleague applauds your efforts, helped you make presentations, express a high regard of your work; then, a few days later, for no apparent reason they decide that they have overdone it and tend to downplay your wins, glaringly condoning it. And, as if it was not enough, there is this lass who tries to fit into a small space beside you, wears a friendly smile when you pass by; Then, blame it on planetary (mis)alignment, talking to you straight and walking beside you would demean their virtue.

Holy Cow! Such display of friendliness coupled with rarified attitude is what baffles me. Could it be because of planetary misalignment? Or just the varying levels of hormones causing mood swings?
